Wonderful performance and great value for money
City String Trio were fantastic at our wedding! They were wonderfully communicative leading up to the big day, arrived right on time, and performed all our requested songs exactly as we hoped. Their music was really beautiful and this, together with the overall service, was worth far more than what we paid - in my opinion, they should be charging more! I thoroughly recommend City String Trio. -

City Strings delivered an absolutely unforgettable performance at my 80th Birthday carvery lunch at Leeds Castle; the kind of musical magic that doesn’t just accompany an event but elevates it. From the very first note in the garden during pre-lunch drinks, they set a tone of elegance, warmth and celebration. Guests arrived to a soundtrack that felt perfectly curated for the moment - light, joyful and beautifully played. Their presence immediately made the occasion feel special. As we moved into the Long Gallery and then the Tudor Hall, City Strings handled the transitions with total finesse. They seemed to read the room instinctively, adjusting their energy and repertoire to match the flow of the afternoon. Whether guests were chatting, moving between spaces or settling in for the first part of the carvery, the music always felt exactly right. Their range was astonishing. From musicals to pop favourites to classical pieces, every performance was polished, expressive and full of personality. They didn’t just play - they connected. The guests adored them and the atmosphere they created was nothing short of brilliant. City Strings were, in every sense, outstanding. Professional, intuitive and musically superb, they turned a special birthday into a truly memorable celebration. I couldn’t recommend them more highly. -

What a Triumph!!
I booked the trio to play for the first hour of my very young wife’s 80th birthday birthday party. I had some reservations as I’d kept it a surprise for her right up to the event and with a guest list across all ages, I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. In the event, I need not have worried, The breadth of their repertoire meant it was possible to pick a mix of contemporary and classic tunes and the feedback from guests was universally positive. Sarah, Diana and Nigel were terrific! The booking process was easy and especially helpful to be able see costs without further enquiry. Communications with Clare at Alive Network was first class and direct contact with the Trio made the whole experience stress free. My wife loved it and I’d recommend them unreservedly. -
The quality of their music blew us away!
City String Trio were absolutely incredible! They are the most talented musicians and were extremely professional, without a doubt one of the best decisions we made of our whole day. They set the most beautiful atmosphere as guests arrived at our ceremony - by the time we walked down the aisle there wasn't a dry eye! They were incredibly easy to work with, from the very first message to the seamless set up at both the ceremony and drinks reception and hit the nail on the head by selecting the most perfect music to play throughout the day, setting the tone and making our wedding day feel truly magical. We highly recommend booking the City String Trio! -

Exceptional live music and a truly responsive service
City String Trio recently performed several sets at our event and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. Not only was their music beautifully played and perfectly suited to the atmosphere, but the group was incredibly professional and easy to work with. We received glowing comments from our staff throughout the day about the quality of their performance. They were also extremely reasonable and remarkably flexible, even relocating between sets without hesitation and accommodating every request we made. Their calm, friendly approach made organising the event so much smoother. We couldn’t be happier with their contribution to our day and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional live music and truly responsive service. -
